Greely Expedition: Day 66

Day 66: Saturday, September 10th, 1881

Cold, party arrived at 2:10am. The party had been out 19 hours; were much worn out. Rice appears much better than when first found. Pvt. Whistler froze his feet quite severely, he was wearing leather boots at the time. Morning wind blowing from North East and brisk, snowing and very cold. All hands mustered today and at high tide the launch was hauled up as high as possible on the beach and ice-foot, and made snug.
